LET US TRACK YOU...YOUR CPE THAT IS!
Your MICPA CPE Tracker has never been more important! The State has confirmed they will now accept the report that can be generated by the MICPA CPE Tracker as a state-approved method of reporting your CPE.
Log into your account to view your Tracker. To generate a state-approved report, click the button on the bottom that reads, "Print State CPE Report." Manually total your hours and sign the form. Mail this back to the State with the other appropriate documents.
CPE Tracker provides MICPA members their own personal file in order to maintain a record of all CPE credits earned. You can create and view a complete CPE transcript at any time. In a notice posted on the state’s Accountancy website, the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs indicates that the Department is no longer maintaining paper or electronic continuing professional education records for CPAs.
CPE Tracker will automatically record CPE credits earned through the MICPA and partner providers. Members can also add credits earned outside of the association. The Tracker, your member benefit, will also track carryover of CPE hours for your convenience. All you do is enter them in as third party CPE and label it “Carryover”. The state will no longer track your carryover hours, so it is critical that you do.
If you are not logged in and want to access your CPE Tracker, log in to the MICPA website and click “My CPE Tracker” in the top right of the home screen. If you’re not a MICPA member and wish to join, click here.
To help you meet the deadline, MACPA has a full offering of conferences, seminars and webinars throughout the state between now and June 30th. If you need assistance scheduling courses to earn your CPE, please call the MACPA CPE Department at 855.594.4273, or browse our entire CPE catalog.
Under state law, CPAs must earn 40 hours of CPE credit annually. *Please remember* No more than 20 hours of self study annually can be applied to this requirement. Licensees must still report 80 CPE hours bi-annually.
*Note: Members are responsible for verifying all information prior to reporting to the state. *Recently-attended courses may not yet be entered.
