Michigan Accountancy Foundation Launches New Website, Scholarship Application
Check out the newly designed Michigan Accountancy Foundation website with updated graphics and navigation. Access the site menu from the icon in the upper right corner. The Take Action link connects you with the new 2017 MAF scholarship application, which is open until January 31, 2017. You may also download a flyer about the scholarship to share with your students or contact Rachel Lombardo to have flyers mailed to you.

CAQ Offers Grants for Auditing-Related Academic Research
The Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) issued a request for proposals to fund independent academic research on projects of interest to the auditing profession. The CAQ program focuses on a number of critical policy issues, including audits of internal control over financial reporting, auditing of accounting estimates and fair value, audit committee effectiveness, cybersecurity, data analytics, professional skepticism, global group audits, materiality, non-GAAP measures, fraudulent financial reporting, and the value of the audit.
