MICPA to Hold Series of Tax Updates Throughout Michigan

by MICPA | Nov 09, 2017   ()

With the end of the year quickly approaching, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants is preparing CPAs in Michigan with updates on changes to tax laws.

The seminars take place around Michigan. Each course provides a refresher on recent tax changes all CPAs should know before heading into tax season.

“The key to a successful filing season is preparation,” said Steven Dilley, president of Federal Tax Workshops. “With the possibility of late 2017 significant tax legislation, it is important to attend an update seminar that has up-to-the-minute coverage of the latest changes. FTW’s Tax Season update provides that as well as coverage of many other important developments.”

The presentations are at various locations throughout the state:

  • Dec. 8 at the Holiday Inn Traverse City – West Bay, 615 E. Front St., Traverse City
  • Dec. 13 at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center, Michigan State University, 219 S. Harrison Road, East Lansing, with a webinar option
  • Dec. 19 at Marriott Detroit Troy, 200 W. Big Beaver Road, Troy
  • Jan. 16 at Prince Conference Center Calvin College, 3201 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids
  • Jan. 18 at Laurel Manor, 39000 Schoolcraft Road, Livonia

In addition to updates on tax reform, the presentations also cover developments impacting individuals, businesses, partnerships and S corporations.

Each program runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration is $255 for MICPA members and $405 for non-members and available by visiting micpa.org/TSU17.
