Your skills can make a difference to those who cannot afford the assistance of a tax professional. Each winter, MICPA members, in conjunction with the Communications Task Force, participate in the Accounting Aid Society’s Tax Assistance Program, bringing accounting professionals to low-income citizens at various sites. This program is open to CPAs as well as student members.
Each filing season member-volunteers provide tax assistance and answer questions for the public via phone or social media in several markets across the state of Michigan. Sign up now to become a media resource.
