The Michigan Department of Treasury (Treasury) is continuing corrective actions after approximately 27,000 Notice of Adjustment letters were issued in error in April.
The Michigan Department of Treasury (Treasury) is continuing corrective actions after approximately 27,000 Notice of Adjustment letters were issued in error in April. Treasury has issued about 8,700 corrected notices to date, while the remaining affected taxpayers will receive revised correction letters and, if applicable, updated balance information through a “Reminder of Tax Due” inquiry notice.

Treasury also outlined next steps for taxpayers who received Form 2210 penalty refund checks in error, including canceling uncashed checks and issuing follow-up notices for unresolved balances. Members and taxpayers can access real-time account information and correspondence history through Michigan Treasury eServices.
