Last week, the MICPA team met with U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg, chair of the House Committee on Education and Workforce, to discuss support for the bipartisan Accounting STEM Pursuit Act (H.R. 2911/S. 3784). The legislation would recognize accounting as a STEM field in K-12 education and allow existing federal STEM grant funding to support accounting education and career awareness.
